London-based Filipinos the Manila-based Chamber of Real Estate Builders Association (CREBA) for recently organizing a real estate fair in coordnation with the Philippine embassy. They said that the fair introduced them to the industry and provided them with more options and information in purchasing houses and lots in the Philippines.

"Natutuwa kami at dumating ang CREBA at ipinaliwanag ang kanilang mga housing at real estate projects sa Pilipinas at nakakaenganyo ang kanilang mga sinabi lalo na sa mga overseas foreign workers na nasa Europe," said nurse Rolando Sotelo of the Philippine Nurses Association-UK.

A total of 12 groups from CREBA participated in the event and showed overseas Filipino workers presentations of the real-estate industry in the Philippines.

“Maganda ang mga project na dala ng CREBA for the real estate investment kasi nakakatulung ito sa ating mga overseas contract worker," said Jennita Mejorada, a senior nurse at the Charing Cross Hospital.

Majority of those who attended the fair showed interest in investing in real estate were nurses.

For its part, CREBA thanked the Philippine embassy for supporting the fair and for providing space for the event.

“The Philippine embassy here in London headed by our Ambassador Edgardo Espiritu and DCM Rey Catapang has given us the space here at the embassy particularly the consular office ground floor where we held our briefing for our OFW and some nurses and other professional in the UK for their business opportunities and investments in the Philippines,” said CREBA vice-president Avelina Panes-Acuna.
